General english

Duration: 52 weeks

This course aims to provide students with the necessary English skills to be able to communicate their needs and intentions to others whether they are native English speakers or speakers of other languages using English as a lingua franca. The course is designed for students wishing to use English for a wide variety of purposes. DURATION: The General English Course at DIC runs for 52 Weeks per year. Each Term is 12 weeks long and there is a one week break after each term. There are 20 hours face-to-face scheduled classes each week (5 hours a day, 4 days a week) and 5 hours minimum self-study per week (project work, homework, etc.) ENTRY REQUIREMENTS The prerequisite is completion of compulsory secondary education or equivalent. Students will be allocated to classes based on their performance in the DIC English Placement Test.
